The Ray-Ban New Wayfarer, a slightly smaller interpretation on the most famous sunglasses in the Ray-Ban collection; the Original Wayfarer.
The iconic Wayfarer was first manufactured in the 1950s: a wide rimmed, black synthetic frame, which has silver rivets connecting the temples to the frame. Ray-ban means protection from the sun, so even with all the hype and changes in fashion, this remains an important factor. The new Wayfarer uses thermally toughened mineral glass and comes in the famous grey/green colour. The lenses ensure that you can keep your natural colour perception.
Wearers of the Wayfarer, e.g. Buddy Holly, J.F. Kennedy, Bob Dylan or Tom Cruise and use of these glasses in enduring films and series such as Blues Brothers or Miami Vice have made this model one of the most famous accessories in fashion history.
With their unmistakable style the Wayfarer belongs an endless myth amongst sunglasses and give the wearer and unmistakable look.
