Product description

CUBITTS

The modern eyewear maker Cubitts was founded in 2013 in the London Borough of King's Cross. Inspired by the engineering brilliance of the Cubitt brothers, they are driven by the conviction that eyewear should be versatile objects. The UK-based company is committed to the fusion of design, function and style. Each frame is handcrafted to be worn for a lifetime and repaired rather than replaced when necessary. Throughout the six-week manufacturing process, each frame goes through approximately 50 separate steps, including four separate polishing stages. By combining cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship, Cubitts is revolutionising the global optical industry in its own way.

All frames are made by expert eyewear makers using hand-operated tools and specialised optical machineries. No matter if the frames are ready-made or custom-made, the same materials and processes are applied. Cubitts places special emphasis on applying the same high quality standards to all its products, and each frame is individually manufactured. To attain this precision, human-operated machines are used, and all other operations are carried out with hand-operated tools to achieve the best possible quality and consistency.

Depending on availability, customers can choose the frame in the colour of their choice. In addition, Cubitts offers each model a sunglasses clip to attach to the frame that can transform the glasses into a pair of sunglasses. Cubitts only uses the highest quality acetate (cellulose acetate).
