Long lasting protection from dryness with Air Optix Aqua
High oxygen permeability and unique wetting technology are the recipe for success for Alcon/Ciba Vision's Air Optix Aqua contact lenses. The result is a long-lasting, high wearing comfort that benefits particularly dry and sensitive eyes. The monthly lenses are made of silicone hydrogel, which has up to five times more oxygen permeability than other contact lens materials, and also has a low water content, which minimizes the evaporation of the tear film. Thanks to the high oxygen permeability, it is possible to wear the lenses non-stop for 7 days and 6 nights in addition to the usual 30-day wearing interval for monthly lenses.
Innovative technology for more comfort
Air Optix Aqua offers further advantages through its unique Aqua-Comfort wetting technology, which is characterised by a triple effect: The Lotrafilcon B material contains a wetting agent that provides an extremely smooth and supple surface, this allows the eyelid to glide gently over the contact lenses. The material reduces the dehydration of the eyes as it is able to bind moisture very well. This makes the Air Optix Aqua ideal for dry eyes and special challenges such as dry air from air conditioners or long work in front of the monitor. Additionally, thanks to its biocompatible surface, the contact lenses are highly resistant to deposits.
The lenses have a slightly bluish tint for easy insertion, that does not change your own eye colour.
