Premium toric monthly lenses, made in Germany

Contact Day 30 Toric contact lenses are soft toric contact lenses. Toric lenses are used to correct astigmatism. These lenses from the German premium lens manufacturer Wöhlk are made from ocufilcon D, an especially tear-resistant and eye-friendly material.

Ocufilcon D is a material with high water binding properties that offers excellent oxygen permeability levels. Contact Day 30 Toric contact lenses allow the surface of the eye to breathe and minimise dryness of the eyes. With Contact Day 30 Toric contact lenses, working in front of a computer or spending long hours in air-conditioned rooms is no longer a problem, even for people who suffer from dry eyes.

The smooth surface of the Contact Day 30 Toric contact lenses noticeably reduces protein and lipid deposits from the tear fluid. The result is a highly pleasant wearing experience that is free from irritations and red eyes.

Correction values Your prescription details are the results of your last eye test. They comprise the following values: sphere (Sph), cylinder (Cyl), axis (A) and addition power (ADD). On all prescriptions you will find a sphere value. If you have astigmatism, you will also find values for cyl and A. Multi-focal lenses for presbyopia have an addition power (ADD).

Base curve The term base curve refers to the curvature of the inside surface of the contact lens. Larger base curves provide a looser fit to your cornea. Smaller (or "steeper") base curves provide a tighter fit.

Sphere The sphere is the basic strength of your contact lenses, measured in dioptres (D). If a plus value is indicated, then you are far-sighted. A minus value indicates short-sightedness.

Cylinder Where a corneal astigmatism is present, cylinder value refers to the strength required to correct said astigmatism. It is measured in dioptres and can be a negative (short-sighted) or positive (far-sighted) value.

Axis The axis value states the direction of the corneal astigmatism (irregular curvature of the cornea). It is measured in degrees from 0 to 180.
