Kappa at Mister Spex
Kappa’s style is sporty. Since it was founded in Italy in 1967, the company has focused on a sporting lifestyle for men, women and children. The brand’s distinctive logo was taken during a photo shoot when two exhausted models leant against each other. Early on, Kappa recognized and leveraged the potential of sponsoring athletes. Initially, football teams were kitted out in the brand’s designs and Kappa became the first team sponsor in the Italian football leagues. Since then, the New York Marathon and successful athletes have been supported and sponsored, including legends Carl Lewis and Jackie Joyner Kersee. The Kappa 4 Team brand was created especially for professional football. As a shirt sponsor, Kappa is now not only represented in football, but also in rugby, hockey and other sports in various European leagues.
After the relaunch of the brand in 1995, Kappa once again took a sporting direction and positive attitude, expressed through the slogan “be a good sport”. The product range includes sportswear for women, men and children as well as accessories and various specialist sporting goods.
