Boss at Mister Spex

Hugo Ferdinand Boss’s original intention was for his company to only produce work clothes. Functional fashion with clean tailoring and lines. In 1924, he therefore founded the company Hugo Boss and laid the foundations for a successful global empire. Now Hugo Boss AG, based in Metzingen, is Germany's largest menswear manufacturer. The real impetus began after the end of World War II when Hugo Boss began to tailor men's suits. Once this base was created, things moved quickly. Management of the company was taken over in 1948 by Hugo Ferdinand Boss’s son, Eugen Holy, when its founder died. In 1967 his grandchildren, Uwe and Jochen Holy, also started working in the company, adding further to the success of the business-oriented menswear line. Boss revolutionised men's fashion in Germany. Among the hallmarks of the typical "Boss style" are perfect quality combined with elegant tailoring and an optimal fit.

With more than 75 years of men's fashion, the German success story has developed into an international fashion and lifestyle company, with the stars laying at its feet. Hugo Boss fashion shows are often attended by A-list celebrities, with stars wherever you turn. And Hugo Boss is a regular answer to the red carpet question "And what are you wearing today?"

After many years of focusing on menswear, a women's collection was launched in 1998. This was a milestone in the company’s history. Now, the famous "Boss" brand has gradually split into different styles. Sub-collections such as Boss Orange, Boss Green, Boss Black etc. appeal to different tastes and lifestyles. This is underlined by different fragrance and cosmetics lines, Boss eyewear collections and various accessories.
